Nisso Industry Co. Ltd., a Japanese maker of water tanks for pet fish, reported a group net loss of JPY 1.02 billion in the year ended 31 March, 2001 compared to a loss of JPY 318 million the year before. Operating losses were JPY 82 million against an operating profit of JPY 108 million in fiscal 2000. Sales were lower at JPY 5.81 billion versus JPY 6.71 billion in 2000. The company forecast a return to a profit in fiscal 2002 of JPY 40 million.
