Amcor Ltd., the Australian packaging company has announced two new executive appointments on the back of the recent announcement that it intended to sell its interest in Kimberly-Clark Australia. Amcor“s chief financial officer Louis Lachal moves to the newly created position of executive general manager operations. Peter Day, currently executive director finance at Bonlac Limited, will join Amcor as executive general manager finance. This week Amcor announced it was selling its 50% investment in Kimberly-Clark Australia for A$ 775 million. Amcor spokesman John Murray said the new appointments reflected Amcor“s burgeoning global business. “With Amcor continuing to expand internationally and developing its businesses across broad geographic regions, it is necessary to ensure that the management structure appropriately reflects the changing requirements of the organisation,” Mr Murray said.
