The Malaysian company, Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd“s (F&N) new warrants 2001, which expired on 20 February 2001 has raised RM 314 million, according to its chief financial officer Tony Lee. Speaking to reporters, Lee said the warrants have been a “good success.” The number of new warrants 2001 outstanding at the end of the last financial year ended 30 Sept 2000 was 114 million and upon full conversion would have raised RM 374 million. The warrants exercise price is RM 3.28 and the company“s shares are currently trading at around RM 3. Lee said the part of the proceeds will be used to redeem F&N“s RM 250 million 1996/2001 redeemable unsecured bonds which will expire on 20 May 2001.
