Steven J. Strobel, vice president and corporate controller of Owens Corning has been named treasurer of the corporation, effective 1 February 2000. Deyonne F. Epperson, vice president, Corporate Audit, will replace Strobel as corporate controller. Strobel and Epperson will report to J. Thurston Roach, senior vice president and chief financial officer. Strobel replaces Michael I. Miller, who is retiring in February after 10 years as vice president and treasurer at Owens Corning. Miller joined the company in January 1990, after a career in various corporate financial positions. The company, a world leader in building materials and glass fibre composites systems, has sales of US$ 5 billion and employs approximately 20,000 employees worldwide.
