Morgan Stanley Dean Witter luxury goods industry analyst Claire Kent said that she started coverage of Irish ceramics and glassware maker Waterford Wedgwood with an outperform rating and a target price of Euros 1.15 per share. In Dublin, Waterford shares were trading at Euros 0.98 per share, up one Euro cent from the previous day“s close. “We believe it is undervalued versus its peers,” Kent said. The group, famous for its crystal ware and fine ceramics, on 1 September reported higher first-half sales and profits.
