7 January 1999: Mike Willshare and Leigh Baildham have been appointed to the Royal Brierley Board of Directors following the sale of the company to Epsom Activities in October 1998. Mike Willshare, managing director and co-owner of Sunderland Glassworks, Royal Brierley“s sister company, will work in close partnership with Royal Brierley“s managing director and board member Graham Webster-Gardiner in growing and developing both companies. Leigh Baildham, Marketing Director for Royal Brierley and Sunderland Glassworks, is responsible for driving and managing the growth of both the Royal Brierley and Sunderland Glass brands in the UK and internationally. Previously with Caithness Glass, Leigh brings to Royal Brierley extensive knowledge of and experience in the glass and giftware industry.
