Turomas and K-Star: a promising future in the Korean market

With a presence in over 100 countries, Turomas has, this year, decided to focus on Asia, where its personalised integral solutions and advanced, exclusive and patented planimetry systems, such as 4Tool or TFS, have enabled it to create alliances with Indian and Vietnamese companies.

Jao Ho Kan, CEO of K-Star

Jao Ho Kang is the CEO of K-Star, the only Korean company with over 50 years of experience that can supply numerous types of products for the window industry: from cutting rollers to handling and assembly equipment, and even cutting tables with the Turomas stamp on them.
For four years, it has been banking on the quality of the Teruel machinery. The close treatment and immediate customer service from the technical staff amid any problem also motivated them to choose Turomas over other competitors.
The main characteristics of the Turomas cutting tables, according to Jao Ho Kang, are the cutting bridge fastening system and aluminium profile that guarantees a long lifespan in any conditions.
The Rubielos de Mora brand is not only well-known, it is also well-recognised among Korean consumers. This good corporate reputation is very important for K-Star with regards to sales and gaining loyal customers.
“The future of K-Star and Turomas is promising. We are going to be very successful together in the Korean market,” the CEO predicts.

Jang Byeong Yong, CEO Sung Kwang Special Glass

K-Star customer opinions on Turomas
Jang Byeong Yong, CEO Sung Kwang Special Glass
Jang Byeong Yong is the General Director of Sung Kwang Special Glass, located in Bucheon, east of Incheon, Korea. Founded more than 40 years ago, this well-known company specialises in the electronic and glass processing market for liquid crystal displays or LCD.
Their most recent project is for the South Korean giant Samsung and its revolutionary foldable phone, Galaxy Fold, presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last February. To manufacture this multifunctional hybrid phone and tablet, a special glass is required which the intelligent Turomas machinery is capable of cutting.
To opt for Turomas and not another brand, the personalisation and precision of the cutting table is a determining factor, as well as the renowned quality of the equipment of the Terual company.
The Sung Kwang Special Glass cutting table includes a laser scanner, something which is very useful for the company since the majority of their customers usually show up with a plain sample and ask them to make a copy of the original.
Jang Byeong Yong himself recognises that, “(…) At the moment, the Korean market is really unhappy with the cheap products from China. The customers that have had bad experiences with these products will surely look for better quality products in the future. If Turomas continues to promote a high level of quality, the customers will undoubtedly choose them.”

Jung Heon Bong, CEO of Ajin Glass

Jung Heon Bong, CEO of Ajin Glass
Ajin Glass is a company which specialises in double glazed and tempered glass which was founded almost three decades ago. Within both of their two offices, one in Yangsan and another in Busan, there are fifty employees.
At the moment, the company is focusing more on glass sales in Busan and its largest customer is building large residential condominium units in this area, one of the largest projects in the country.
The impression that the company South Korean company has of the Turomas cutting table, compared to other tables manufactured by a national brand, is that the precision and resistance are both very good.
Two characteristics included in the Turomas machinery and which are highly valued by the Director of Ajin Glass are the infrared sensor and the dust collector extractor. The first detects human contact and stops the cutter, avoiding a possible accident. The second hoovers the airborne dust, guaranteeing the cleanest air in the workplace.
Jung Heon Bong hopes that customers continue to trust the precision of the equipment and that the Teruel brand continues to grow in the Korean market.

Turomas makes its mark on the Asian continent
Turomas is currently present in more than 100 countries, scattered among all the continents, but for 2019, the company is focussing its attention especially on Asia and strengthening its position there.
In February, Álvaro Tomás, Vice-president of Turomas, began a journey through Southeast Asia. The first stop was in India, afterwards he stopped in Vietnam and the final destination was Korea. Thorngate Sales Cop., Eurotechcorp and K-Star are the distributors that collaborate with the Teruel brand in these markets.
The personalised integral solutions and the advanced, exclusive and patented planimetry systems, such as 4Tool or TFS, have made Turomas the best alternative, creating the alliance with the Indian and Vietnamese companies.

China Glass, the largest glass exhibition in Asia
China Glass Expo is the largest glass exhibition in Asia and one of the most important international exhibitions in the sector. This year, the exhibition took place in Beijing 22-25 May.
For the second time, Turomas was among the exhibitors to take advantage of the potential of the exhibition to present its intelligent storage, loading and glass cutting machinery, as well as its latest technologies.
