26 February 1998: The Czech Republic“s Glavunion, the largest flat glass manufacturer in Central and Eastern Europe, reported a turnover of over Kc 7 billion in 1997. The firm is a unit of the Japanese glass producer Asahi Glass, and consists of five plants of the parent company and incorporates Vitrablok (glass blocks), Splintex Czech (car windows and windscreens), Glavostav (building glass), all of the Czech Republic, and also distribution firms.
