Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging London 2017 will return to Olympia, London, on 13-14 September 2017. The leading event of its kind has a brand-new format for its conference, as well as more cross-industry learning opportunities than ever before.
New for 2017, the exclusive two-day show has a redesigned seminar format for its Keynote Theatre, which allows for more focus on the key packaging markets – food, drink, beauty and luxury.
The Drinks Forum will show attendees how to create innovative and attractive packaging that will succeed in a crowded market.
Also speaking as part of The Drinks Forum will be Dr John Walters, distiller at The Newmarket Gin and Bernard Gormley, partner at Nude Brand Creation, who will take to the stage to present ‘A High Quality Product Built Entirely Around a Brand Concept’. They will explain how Newmarket Gin came about and its connection with The Bedford Lodge Hotel. Plus, they will look at how the packaging was directly inspired by Newmarket racecourse.
Visitors looking to gain some cross-sector knowledge will not to want to miss The Food Forum sessions, which will see Martin Kersh, executive director of the FPA, cover topics including ‘food packaging from an environmental perspective’, and ‘reducing food waste and extending shelf life’.
In addition to this, The Luxury Forum will explore how to craft iconic packaging that delivers the luxury experience. Some of the topics that will be covered include delivering luxury packaging, redefining the codes of luxury and successfully creating beautiful experiences when packaging is the only touch point. Whilst, The Beauty Forum will give visitors the opportunity to hear the latest trends and issues from leading beauty brands.
Also launching at this year’s show is a free-to-attend Packaging Design Summit. This is being run in association with the Pentawards, the most prestigious worldwide competition exclusively devoted to packaging design in all its forms. It will consider the current trends, themes and issues facing the packaging designers of today, with key topics including ‘designing for the work-hard, play-hard generation X’, ‘creating beautifully persuasive brands that grow’ and ‘packaging design for brand and product enhancement’.
