During the project, Emerging Technologies was able to meet the high customer requirements, including demand for superior end-product quality and increasing production yield.
The project, which started as an engineering project completed in the third quarter, resulted in the order of a bending and tempering machine for complex shapes. The value of the order is approximately 1.8 million EUR.
The equipment is designed to bend and temper glass to complex shapes and will be used especially in the transport and aviation industry. Equipment for tempering complex, non-cylindrical shapes, is currently not in Glaston’s standard portfolio, but the technology is based on Glaston’s core competencies in glass heat treatment.
