Positive results for the 2021 edition of Vitrum

Exhibitors and visitors both felt positivity about the event and relief to finally meet face to face once again

The exhibitors of Vitrum 2021 closed the event with an almost unanimous positive opinion: “We did not expect such an interested and qualified turnout, and above all we did not expect so many foreigners even from non-European countries.”

This is the most frequent comment glassOnline collected, so it would seem that the various restrictions and regulations on international travel, mandatory tampons or greenpasses and the possibility of quarantines did not scare off visitors.

The sentiment is the concrete demonstration that the glass sector is ready to renew or expand their machinery to satisfy the growing demand for glass on the market. The exhibitors responded in the best way possible, presenting their new machinery, next generation accessories with increasingly advanced software, solutions for storage, digital printing and much more.

After a long period, which lasted about 18 months, there was a sense of relief to finally attend the exhibition, in which machinery manufacturers and glassmakers were able to communicate in person without resorting to digital platforms or unreliable connections. They had the opportunity to show their products, and to offer hands-on demonstrations to potential clients.

All this was possible thanks to Vitrum, to the organizers who believed in the event and were once again able to bring together the protagonists of the sector, let them talk and perhaps confront or debate each other, discuss and exchange views in “real life,” which has been missing for too long.
