Glas Trösch Group in Männedorf, Switzerland

Building bridges for the art

Unconventional façades and architectural highlights have long been drawing attention to the former industrial site between Männedorf and Uetikon, in Switzerland.

For the extension of Galerie Bruno Bischofberger, Zurich architects Baier Bischofberger Architekten designed a 16-metre-long building bridge. At a height of 12 metres, the passerelle now connects two parts of the building.

Glas Trösch‘s 4-season insulating glass SILVERSTAR SELEKT 74/42 combines thermal insulation with solar control and creates a pleasant indoor climate. In combination with the laminated safety glass SWISSLAMEX DECO with screen-printed dot grid, the solar radiation is controlled with unobstructed view.

The partially toughened safety glass EUROWHITE increases the mechanical resistance and, thanks to its resistance to thermal shock, ensures that the bridge withstands weathering and other external influences. With EUROWHITE NG as the base glass, the view remains clear and in combination with the coating, energy efficiency is guaranteed.
