As part of cooperation with the Polish RKS Raków Częstochowa football club, Press Glass has made glass roofs for benches for the coaching staff and substitute players.
This project was extremely demanding due to time pressure (very short implementation time) and an unusual technical solution. The glass benches were made with the help of a unique design solution without the use of any steel fasteners or fittings. Glass side beams and bent glass were made in the technology of laminated tempered glass with the use of SentryGlas structural film. This solution made it possible to achieve increased stiffness and the required self-supporting structure. The glass was fixed using Dow structural silicone.
The effect exceeded the wildest expectations of Raków activists and players. The structure is located on a sports facility at ul. Limanowskiego. The benches give the impression of being extremely aesthetic and comfortable, and from the point of view of the spectators, they have another extremely important advantage, they are absolutely transparent and thanks to this, the supporters can finally admire the entire area of the field.
