R.B.M. ITALIA is an Italian company that produces synthetic rub-
ber polishing wheels for flat glass used on the most common edgers and
double-edger machines. The company is located in Baldichieri, Asti, in
North West Italy, still maintaining its roots as a manufacturing company
with a long history and experience.
Technology, skills, research of new challenges, have always been the
key words for R.B.M.
R.B.M. ITALIA has undergone a year full of research to develop new
products and strengthen its existing range and improve the avail-
ability of products to match customers’ needs, also improving after

sale services. A new technical depart-
ment has been developed, with a new
member of staff who will be the contact
person for customers to make trials and
focusing on problems that may occur.
The idea is to follow more and more on
individual requests, therefore custom-
izing solutions.
The company has been working to
complete its range of wheels for low-E
(edge deletion wheels). A new product
was presented last year: a non-woven
convolute wheel that gives great per-
formance in removing coating. It is a
complete different bonding resulting
in a good and homogeneous surface
without leaving any remaining material.
At Vitrum 2019, R.B.M. will have on
show a new wheel for low-E, made of a
different, polyurethane-based material,
with a series of possible solutions for
this application.
The R&D department has also worked
considerably to find new materials
and compounds to expand the cerium
wheels range.
Visitors at Vitrum will therefore have
the chance to see a lots of innovation
with the same level of quality reached
throughout the years.
