AGC acquires OEM customer portfolio from Etex

AGC reaffirms its determination to consolidate its position as the European leader in fire-resistant glass and to invest directly in the strategic market for this type of glass in Germany

AGC Glass Europe has acquired Etex’s portfolio of OEM (original equipment manufacturer) customers on the German market for fire-resistant glass.

Etex is a multinational group that manufactures and sells sustainable materials and solutions for the construction and industrial markets, including the Promat brand of insulating and fire-protection materials. This important market segment, in which Etex has acquired a leadership position as a producer and distributor of fire-resistant glass, primarily comprises German designers and manufacturers of industrial doors that provide passive fire protection.

AGC and Etex are firmly committed to taking all steps necessary to ensure a smooth transition for OEM customers. AGC will continue to collaborate with Etex in other segments of this same market.
