AGC Flat Glass Czech received the Governor’s Award for Social Responsibility of the Ústí Region, in the Czech Republic, winning in the category of large enterprises with more than 250 employees.
AGC Flat Glass Czech was recognized as a company that prioritizes compliance with legal obligations, practices responsible and ethical behaviour towards its surroundings. The company was thanked for creating positive change, not only for supporting the environment by reducing the impact of its production process, but also for taking care of its people and supporting a number of educational and social activities in the region.
The Governor’s Award for Social Responsibility is organized by the Economic and Social Council of the Ústí Region together with the Ústí Region and the Quality Council of the Czech Republic. It aims to support social responsibility and sustainable development through feedback provided to organizations by an independent evaluator.
Organizations thus gain an objective view of their level of social responsibility fulfilment and can serve as a good example for other organizations. The Governor’s Award for Social Responsibility raises social awareness of what social responsibility means and its significance and purpose in practical life.
