AGC gets Silver Class CSR rating

AGC was awarded a Silver Class rating from RobcoSAM in recognition of significant initiatives for recycling resources in production processes and continuing social contribution activities.

AGC (Asahi Glass Co., Ltd.) has been awarded a Silver Class rating for the first time in the 2014 CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) survey of Swiss RobcoSAM, the world’s leading Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) rating company.
Every year, RebecoSAM evaluates the sustainability of global corporations in terms of economy, environment, and social responsibility, and rates particularly excellent corporations on a scale of three rating classes: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. In the 2014 survey, the world’s leading rating firm evaluated about 3,000 companies, and nominated 70, 65, and 87 companies for Gold, Silver, and Bronze Classes, respectively. In the Building Products sector, to which AGC belongs, two Japanese companies including AGC were named.
AGC was awarded a Bronze Class rating in 2012. A Silver Class was granted in 2014 in recognition of significant initiatives for recycling resources in production processes and continuing social contribution activities.
AGC will continue to contribute to achieving a sustainable society through its business activities.
