A range of new and improved solar control glass products for internationally important glass architecture was presented jointly by AGC and Interpane at glasstec. Thanks to the strategic alliance between the two companies, which began in July this year, the two partners’ high-end solar control glass will enable architects to create innovative and visually impressive constructions with excellent energy properties.
AGC and Interpane presented a range of new and improved solar control glass products for internationally important glass architecture at the glasstec trade fair in Düsseldorf, where they occupied a joint stand for the first time. The strategic alliance between the two companies, which have supplementary production and finishing technologies as well as a complementary geographical presence and product range, began in July. At glasstec, the partners demonstrated the perfect synthesis that exists between their best solar control glass products, resulting in an even wider choice for all architectural applications.
With AGC and Interpane’s high-end solar control glass, architects can create innovative and visually impressive constructions with excellent energy properties.
A combination of maximum light transmission with very low solar factor is something architects and designers invariably demand. In this segment, Interpane and AGC presented their high-end solar control glass products ipasol ultraselect 62/29 and Stopray Ultra (60 and 50 on Clearvision) with triple silver coating. These glazings offer a highly colour-neutral appearance and view, even at an acute viewing angle.
Maximum light transmission was exemplified in the Energy (N and NT) and ipasol neutral 73/42 products. The colour-neutral Stopray Vision 60 and Vision 60T on Clearvision, together with ipasol neutral 60/33, enable a high level of architectural freedom.
Internationally renowned architects are increasingly asking for colour-accented façade glazing, with blue particularly fashionable at present. The alliance presented a number of products to meet this need, namely Stopsol Supersilver Dark Blue, Stopsol SilverLight PrivaBlue and Sunergy Azur.
Extreme solar control requires a very low g-value. ipasol sky 30/17 and ipasol grey 38/23 are ideal for this, and are particularly suited to southern or equatorial regions.
ipasol neutral 50/27 has a very low light reflection of just 9%. If high reflection is required, ipasol platin 47/29 with its unusual, silvery appearance, is the perfect solution.
Thanks to their new alliance, AGC and Interpane can now offer a much broader range of glazings for all types of requirements, from thermal or acoustic insulation through to design. Their joint stand at glasstec focused mainly on high-end products, some combined with contemporary silk-screen printing or additional coatings such as ipachrome design for a sophisticated finish. The complete standard solar control range was displayed in a Glass Shuttle in the open-air exhibition space right outside Hall 10.
