AGC’s pyrolytic glass Comfort E-PS has been rebranded to bring it into alignment with the two new product families of low-emissivity coated glass products launched early last year.
AGC Glass Company North America has announced the rebranding of its Comfort E-PS, bringing the high-demand pyrolytic glass into alignment with the two new product families of low-emissivity coated glass products launched early last year: Energy Select for architectural applications and Comfort Select for residential applications.
Comfort E-PS in 2.5mm, 3.0m, 4.0mm and 5.0mm is now Comfort Select 73. Comfort E-PS 6.0mm is now Energy Select 73.
The fabrication, storage and handling of the pyrolytic low-E glass have not changed. “The re-branding of Comfort E-PS is simply an effort to support consistency in our marketing strategy and to create ease of selecting and specifying the right product, as we continue to achieve success with this product,” says Rodger Ruff, director of primary sales.
AGC’s U4 – 4th Surface Technology utilizes the CS73/ES73 with the coating on the No. 4 surface, along with a coating on the No. 2 surface, increasing thermal efficiency by 15% or more with no change to the manufacturing process. AGC continues to create innovative new products in support of the ever-changing energy code requirements, helping architects and glazing contractors stay ahead of the game when it comes to energy efficiency.
