The Grant Allocation Team of the International Year Of Glass 2022 (IYOG2022) has completed the allocation and distribution of a first round of seed funding.
The applications covered a wide variety of activities and were from many different countries across all continents. Following an intense review process by a team of five, 40 activities were selected as particularly noteworthy and giving a wide spread of imaginative projects. All were offered funding, but at significantly reduced levels because of budget constraints.
Recipients of awards have been universally grateful; just one has been withdrawn because of COVID related constraints.
A second round of funding will begin on July 1 and end on July 31. Unsuccessful applicants from Round 1 can re-apply and the attached announcement contains some additional suggestions on preparing a bid. The main goal is to support activities that will attract funding from other sources. Again, the aim will be to support as many projects over as wide a range as possible, subject to tight financial constraints. The Grant Allocation Team cannot accept applications for more than EUR 8,000. Any suggestions of possible sponsorship deals that would allow to extend out support will be welcome.
Please submit applications and any subsequent correspondence to fundallocation@iyog2022.org; do not contact directly members of the team. The Team will acknowledge receipt of all applications, usually within a few days. Please do remember that the Team is entering conference/holiday season.
Please pass on the application forms together with this message to anyone who might be interested in applying.
