Ventilation systems specialist Aralco will be demonstrating the advantages of PyrAcoust, a new acoustic control vent for timber, PVCu and aluminium windows which achieves superior performance from a slim, modular design, at this year’s FIT Show.
Made from aluminium, the PyrAcoust is the smallest acoustic window vent providing 2,500 mm2 or 5,000 mm2 Equivalent Area, in line with Part F requirements for ventilation. Aralco promises sound dampening up to 45 dB in the open position for the vent.

The new acoustic control system is based on the proven design and performance of Aralco’s best-selling Pyramid vent, reinforcing the Belgian manufacturer’s expertise as it exhibits at FIT Show for the second time.
PyrAcoust and Pyramid combine in a modular construction for flexible noise control that meets the desired acoustic requirements of the window. Using one acoustic module alongside a Pyramid vent delivers noise reduction with discreet internal aesthetics. Adding a second PyrAcoust module maximises noise reduction, making it ideal for noisy environments such as homes on flight paths or near main roads, or to add value to city living developments.
PyrAcoust is suitable for both internal and external installation.
Its canopy offers excellent weather protection and incorporates a stainless steel fly screen.
Like all Aralco ventilations systems, PyrAcoust has been developed with the end user in mind. Upward air deflection reduces the risk of draughts, and the vent is easy to open and control by the homeowner.
PyrAcoust Vent is available in anodised silver or in any RAL colour, with black or white end caps.
