Batch and furnace managers, supervisors and furnace engineering colleagues from Ardagh‘s glass production facilities across the United States recently got together in Fishers, Indiana, for the annual Furnace Leadership Conference.
Over three days, attendees had direct access to extensive internal expertise across of range of topics as they relate to batch and furnace operations: engineering, quality, safety, sustainability and environment.
Participants also benefited from significant external expertise. CelSian – a renowned leader in the glass industry – led discussions ranging from glass melting techniques to defect management and colour transitions. Global Glass and ControlRooms.ai joined to share insights into batch operations, AI-powered data systems and operational challenges, along with intriguing perspectives on future opportunities.
The Furnace Leadership Conference has proven to be a valuable forum for networking, comprehensive training and collaborative learning and problem-solving. Plans are already under way for next year’s conference.
