Glass container manufacturer Arglass has announced that it has completed a buyout of previous majority stakeholder Nihon Yamamura Glass, restoring full ownership of the company to its founders. Japan-based Yamamura has sold 100 percent of its shares back to Arglass, a move that allows Yamamura to refocus on business efforts in its home country
Founder, Chairman and CEO José de Diego Arozamena will remain in place along with his entire leadership team. Arglass will cease using the Yamamura name.
“This is an exciting day for Arglass. We remain committed to growth now and into the future, and this reallocation of shares enables us to embark upon a bright new chapter as a 100 percent American family company,” said Arozamena. “I see great strength in independence and, as the most agile, innovative and sustainable glass container manufacturing company in North America, we will continue to bring our customers the best-in-class service they are accustomed to receiving.”
