Associated Materials, manufacturer of Alside, Gentek, Revere and Preservation windows, has announced that its Central window manufacturing operation has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 certification for meeting or exceeding rigorous quality-assurance standards.
The facility, based in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, is one of only a few U.S. window companies to achieve this certification. ISO 9001:2015, which is the latest version of the world’s leading quality management standard ISO 9001, is designed to easily integrate with other management systems already in place while giving increased importance to leadership action, supply chain performance and risk prevention. This compliance further promotes production of consistently high-quality products, streamlined processes and increased efficiency.
“Consistent quality has been the key to AMI’s decades of success, and we are continually improving our processes to produce the very best building materials for our customers,” said Bill Topper, EVP, Operations, AMI. “ISO 9001:2015 optimizes the full scope of our window manufacturing and integrates future-forward innovations that meet the challenging demands for increased energy efficiency, durability and process improvement. We are proud to achieve this esteemed certification and bring this unique value to our customers.”
In addition to AMI’s central window plant, the company said its goal is to achieve certification throughout its remaining ten window, siding and metals plants across America in 2016.
