Belgian car distributor D“Ieteren announced on 7 March 2005 that Belron, its auto glass repair and replacement business, has signed an exclusive letter of intent for the acquisition of Elite Auto Glass Inc and Glaspro Inc, headquartered in Denver, Colorado. The acquisition is expected to complete by end April 2005. If successful, the move would be an important step in the company“s strategy of continuing territorial expansion and bring the number of countries in which Belron operates through owned or franchised businesses to 28. Together, Elite Auto Glass and Glaspro operate 31 branches across the western United States. D“Ieteren owns 73.73% of Belron.
