Bormioli Rocco appoints Chairman

Italian glass manufacturer Bormioli Rocco has appointed Riccardo Garré as its Chairman.

Riccardo Garré has been appointed Chairman at Bormioli Rocco. Garré has 26 years’ experience across various heavy industries, including glass manufacturing. He is current CEO of European merchant steel bar producer Beltrame Group.
Julian Mash, non-Executive Vice Chairman of Bormioli Rocco, said: “I am delighted that we have appointed Riccardo Garrè as Chairman of Bormioli Rocco.
“He brings a wealth of international experience across the manufacturing sector and has a track record of creating growth in the businesses he leads. I look forward to working with Riccardo in the development of Bormioli. I have no doubt he will play a significant role in helping the company to take advantage of the many opportunities that lie ahead.”
Garré previously worked at KME Group, a global copper processing company from 2009 to 2014, initially as COO and latterly as CEO. He also chaired of the Board of Directors of KME AG.
He worked at Saint-Gobain for nine years between 2000 and 2009 first as General Manager of the Global Division producing toughened glass for home appliances, then as CEO of Saint-Gobain Glass Italia and finally as General Manager of Saint-Gobain Glass France.
He holds a degree in Physics from University of Pisa and speaks Italian, English and French.
