Sri Lanka“s Ceylon Glass reported its six months to 30 September unaudited results. Net turnover was at Rs 277.961 million compared with Rs 320.129 million in the same period a year earlier. Operating profit was Rs 10.610 million compared with Rs 25.427 million. In August, India“s Gujarat Glass Ltd. bought a 68.56% stake in Ceylon Glass Company Ltd. The government holds some 7.9% and Japan“s Mitsui Corp., a 5.2% stake in the local glass manufacturer.
