Change of CEO at Innotech Solar

Innotech Solar has announced that David Hogg will take up the position as CEO in the company’s new stage of its development, focusing on establishing a long-term growth strategy to meet the new challenges that the PV industry will be facing.

Since Innotech Solar (ITS) was established in autumn 2008, under the leadership of Thor-Christian Tuv, the company has grown rapidly and developed a strong position as the world’s leading PV producer of high quality ‘greener than green’ PV modules. And this has been done whilst uniquely managing to establish and maintain competitive pricing with leading Chinese companies.
Recognizing that Innotech Solar is now entering a new stage of its development, focusing on establishing a long-term growth strategy to meet the new challenges that the PV industry will be facing, Thor-Christian Tuv and the board have evaluated different growth paths. The evaluation has revealed a difference of opinion. The board has decided to introduce new and different skills, expertise and capabilities at the CEO level. In this context, effective immediately, David Hogg will take up the position as CEO of Innotech Solar.
Hogg is among the most broadly experienced senior professionals in the field of solar photovoltaics, with a career spanning 25 years in Australia, Europe and China. Over the last two years Hogg has served as Suntech Power’s COO based in China and in the year before that as Suntech’s head of European operations based in Switzerland. In those positions he was responsible for driving operational and customer oriented changes and improvements. In the 14 years before joining Suntech, Hogg was CEO of the technology company CSG Solar in Germany and before that, Pacific Solar in Australia.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I take the opportunity to extend my gratitude to Thor-Christian Tuv for his valuable contribution to the establishment and building of ITS,” says Tellef Thorleifsson, Chairman of Innotech Solar.
