Used at a thinness of 0.4 mm, Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 with NDR™ helps the Meizu MX5 smartphone achieve a 1.3 mm-thin screen.
Corning Inc. today announced that Meizu Technology Co., Ltd. has chosen Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance™ for its new Meizu MX5 smartphone.

Meizu selected Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with NDR as a cover glass to help protect the beautiful 5.5-inch AMOLED display of the new MX5 phone because of its excellent scratch resistance and the fact that it is up to five times tougher than the soda-lime glass used on a majority of Chinese smartphones.
Additionally, the “native damage resistance” helps make the cover glass on the MX5 not only resistant to scratches but also more likely to survive if a scratch does occur.
