Corning will acquire TR Manufacturing, a provider of fiber-optic and copper cable/component interconnects and electro-mechanical assemblies. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter 2015.
Corning Inc. has announced it will acquire US TR Manufacturing Inc. of Fremont, California.
TR Manufacturing is a provider of fiber-optic and copper cable/component interconnects and electro-mechanical assemblies to OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) in various technology industries, according to Corning.
The terms of the agreement were not released.
The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter 2015, subject to regulatory approvals.
Upon closing, TR Manufacturing will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Corning, reporting to Corning’s Optical Communications business segment, according to Corning Inc.
