At the age of 78, Antoine Riboud, who built Danone SA into a global conglomerate from a small glassworks, has announced his retirement as chairman and chief executive of the French food group. He hands over the position to his son Franck Riboud, 40, who has been his number two since 1994 and joined to company back in 1982.
