Dr. Ahmet Kirman has resigned from his positions at Şişecam

Şişecam announced that Dr. Ahmet Kirman has resigned from his positions as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Director, effective as of July 1, 2024.

In its statement, Şişecam said, “Kirman, who has added value to Şişecam since 2006 and made our company a respected and influential player on a global scale with his achievements, has decided to leave office at his own request. Under Kırman’s leadership, Şişecam has surpassed regional leadership and become a global company.”

Dr. Kirman said, “I am ending my adventure at Şişecam, which I started in 2006. During this long and tiring period, with an extremely high level of struggle, we achieved great things with my colleagues. In this journey that started with the signature of the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Şişecam became a company that operates in 14 countries with 24 thousand people and can touch every corner of the world with its products. I owe a debt of gratitude to all my Şişecam colleagues in this regard. I experienced the unbearable lightness of being a team running towards the same goal, feeling the same excitement, rejoicing together and feeling sad together.

“Undoubtedly, this adventure had many stakeholders other than employees. The world of glass, industry and finance, among others, did not spare their guiding and supportive approaches and were always by my side. One of them was you. You have contributed to the successes we have achieved as a result of working together during this period.

“I would like to sincerely thank everyone, especially you, with whom I had the opportunity to work together, which allowed me to be a part of the world glass industry and to be appreciated with many international awards, especially the Phoenix award, and to everyone who contributed and supported me to make this world a better place.

“From now on, I will continue to use the knowledge and values I have accumulated to contribute to a better world.”
