Romanian company opens new factory for PVC window profiles.
Electric Plus, headquartered in Bacau, Romania, recently finalized a 5 million EUR investment into a new factory to produce PVC window profile systems under the brand name Barrier. Following the investments completed in 2014, Barrier has the most modern manufacturing complex in Romania.The new production line can make 700 windows per day and has 200 employees that operate it.
Electric Plus distributes Barrier products in Romania via a network of over 300 partners, but is also exporting PVC windows to Italy, France, Belgium and Germany. It has plans to enter the markets in Great Britain, Netherlands and Spain. The company also produces PVC profile doors and will start producing insulating glass next year.
Electric Plus increased its turnover from 2.8 million EUR in 2010 to 13.3 million EUR in 2013 and made a net profit of 595,000 EUR according to data from the Finance Ministry. According to the Barrier web site, the company currently has over 500 employees.
