Commissioners of Henderson County, US, have approved economic incentives regarding investments by Elkamet to partner with a German manufacturer of after-market automotive glass replacement kits.
Henderson County, East Flat Rock-based Elkamet has received approval from county commissioners for economic incentives regarding a USD 300,000 investment to partner with PMA Automotive, a German manufacturer of after-market automotive glass replacement kits.
The commissioners approved a five-year incentives package of up to USD 4,237.
According to Andrew Tate, president and CEO of the Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development, PMA Automotive has a similar partnership with a company in New York. PMA Automotive now plans to bring this business to Elkamet’s recently expanded facility.
The investment in equipment by plastics component maker Elkamet will enable the operation to take place in Elkamet’s new building – part of a recent USD 2 million expansion – that has doubled the size of its complex to 75,000 square feet.
The project is expected to create three jobs with an average wage of USD 45,000 annually, including benefits.
