EnergyGlass: new product to collect and store energy; convert it to electricity

EnergyGlass photovoltaic glass windows have the same appearance as conventional architectural products and can be customized to meet the size, thermal performance and security value requirements of any building.

EnergyGlass, based in Riviera Beach, Florida, US, is, it says, the manufacturer of the only truly optically clear photovoltaic glass that can be installed vertically or horizontally, creating electricity.
Each window consists of two clear glass panels with a patented solar laminate sandwiched between them, creating one laminated solar pane. Installed in a building façade, they can collect energy for 24 hours a day from direct sunlight, ambient light, and artificial light. The collected light is then instantly converted into electricity.
EnergyGlass windows have the same appearance as conventional architectural products and can be customized to meet the size, thermal performance and security value requirements of any building. With additional laminating procedures, EnergyGlass can be certified to meet hurricane, typhoon, tornado, forced entry, bomb blast, bullet and fire protection levels. It can also be tinted, insulated and can incorporate low-E glass and other such products to create additional energy savings.
EnergyGlass is a division of Saf-Glas, which manufactures quality laminate products such as bullet resistant, bomb blast, fire resistant, forced entry, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, and nano-technology glass.
