The Eurofloat factory of Salaise-sur-Sanne (Isère) is installing a new float glass furnace, with production to commence in May 2016.
The new furnace has been built with an investment of 26 Million euro, in the factory that has been equally owned by Saint-Gobain and Riou glass since 2012. Saint-Gobain and Riou Glass both have agreed to purchase half of the production volume of the factory.
This incentive secures Riou Glass a big share of its glass needs for its sixteen processing plants in France. The group has also offices in La Réunion, Mauritius and Madagascar and employs about 1,000 people around the globe. It achieved a sales volume of 165 million euro in 2015.
Riou Glass is one of the major glass processing companies in France that proceses also bent glass, safety glass, coated glass, tempered glass and IGU units. Its production site at Bouleville has recently been expanded to cope with high order volume.
