fensterbau/frontale india, the International Exhibition & Conference Window, Door and Facade, attracted manufacturers, processors, architects, planners and building specialists from India, Asia and Europe to Bangalore 23-25 February 2012. The exhibition, organized as a duo with ACREX India, India’s biggest exhibition for refrigeration, air conditioning and building services (organizer: ISHRAE), maintained its position for the second time following its premiere in New Delhi in 2011. 3,717 highly qualified trade visitors (2011: 2,975) ensured good order books and promising cooperation opportunities for the 69 exhibitors (2011: 47) from nine countries.
The three-day exhibition was particularly characterized by sustainability, energy efficiency and “Green Building”, topics that are right at the top of the priority list for Indian building experts. The internationally renowned research institute ift Rosenheim together with the Indian experts from IFF (International Fenestration Forum) presented an extensive conference programme under the motto of “Envelopes for Green Building”. This enabled the visitors to obtain valuable technical knowledge as well as information from the exhibitors from Germany, India, China, Italy, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, Great Britain and Turkey.
The exhibitor survey strongly reflected the positive mood. 93% of the exhibiting companies were satisfied or very satisfied with the overall organization and the course of the exhibition. 71% also rated the quality of the visitors as good or very good. 79% of the exhibitors even established new business connections.
The conference on “Envelopes for Green Building”, which is supported in concept terms by ift Rosenheim and IFF, presented established technologies from Germany and Europe, which are urgently needed in India to limit the growing demand for cooling energy in the Indian building sector. The first day focused mainly on topics such as solar protection, heat and sound insulation, photovoltaics and security. The second day then provided the answers to practical questions on installation, sealing and window designs.
The NürnbergMesse Group and the supporting organizations – the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, ift Rosenheim and the International Fenestration Forum – plan to keep the exhibition duo of fensterbau/frontale india and ACREX India. In 2013, the successful events will take place in parallel in Mumbai, where many experts and decision-makers from the industry will be welcomed in the Bombay Exhibition Centre from 7-9 March.
