Forel celebrating 40 years in the glass industry

Forel was founded and started its activities back in 1976 and since then the company has grown and developed, becoming one of the major global operators in the development and production of systems and lines for the processing of IG units and flat glass.

On the 21st May 2016, the company officially celebrated 40 years of activities in its company headquarters in Vallio di Roncade (Treviso), north-east Italy.
The 40th anniversary celebrations took place at the end of a three-day ‘Open House’ event, the yearly in-house fair to promote the Brand. Guests at the event included local dignitaries, members of Unindustria, businessmen and employees of Forel and their families, as well as a large number of clients from all over the world. The participants had the chance to have a first-hand visit to the company and see products such as the complete assembly line for IG units with flexible spacer, the vertical processing line made up of modules for drilling and milling, the vertical cutting line for laminated glass, machines to process spacers and, last but not least, the automatic quality control system for glass.
During the speech the founder of the company, Fortunato Vianello, spoke to the guests about the collaborators that over these past 40 years contributed to make of Forel what it is today, and how important is the generational change to continue to ‘dream big’ and being able to face important challenges. A company history made up of successful stories but also difficult periods that have enabled the company to become even stronger and globally recognized for its innovation and know-how. Forel has overcome the crisis by working internationally, while still maintaining its artisan roots and company philosophy, which are clear to see in its family of patents.
“Our story is, first and foremost, made up of values that we have always maintained and which will continue to guide us in the future,” said Mr. Vianello. “The ability to innovate and anticipate market trends, continuing to provide avant-garde solutions plus our investments in R&D that we have always carried out even in the most difficult times and situations, and, of course, the compactness of our Group, which enable us to work together to continue to reach new important goals.”
