Forel – Vitrum 2017 post-show report

Vitrum 2017 was an important showcase for Forel

At this year’s Vitrum show, Forel had on show its top machinery with an IG line, vertical processing, washing machine, flat press, and an automatic sealing robot.

Vitrum 2017 was an important showcase for Forel, one of the most important world player in flat glass processing industry, and this year the company is pleased to say that the international exhibition dedicated to the world of glass, its machinery and applications was a success.
During the four exhibition days, Forel’s booth of more than 1.000 sq.m., was visited by a considerable number of visitors, confirming the importance of the exhibition for the European market, with increasing numbers coming from Russia and also overseas from US and Far East.
The Forel booth had both a fully operating IG line and a complete vertical processing line for edging, drilling and milling. Both of these lines were equipped with the most advanced solutions developed by Forel, with the intention to provide lines able to work continuously also for three shifts a day.
The insulating glass line was made up of the vertical seaming machine of the EG series, the VW vertical washing machine, the APG coupling flat press with gas filling, as well as the SRHP high performance automatic sealing robot.
The vertical “Jumbo” size processing line, with 6,000 x 3,210mm glass capacity and a total length of 40 meters, was one of the main attractions of the exhibition.
The automatic EM vertical edging machine, together with the DM drilling and milling machine and the VW vertical washing machine, is the winning solution for high productivity and processing of large-sized glass sheets. The exceptional performance of this line represents the best investment for customers who are looking to increase production capacity and, at the same time, are focused on glass quality and extreme processing tolerances.
These lines are already installed in 20 different countries over Europe, Asia, US, Australia and New Zealand.
“After a period of relevant appointments for Forel, Vitrum 2017 was an unmissable opportunity to meet our customers once again,” said Stefano Salvian, Sales Director of Forel. “In September we attended GlassBuild (Atlanta, US), with a 450 sq.m. booth, displaying the most recent release of the Hi Speed IG line, and a few days later we held in the successful Forel Open House 2017 at our headquarters in Vallio di Roncade (Italy). The Open House was an important opportunity to present to our customers with the high-level technology which Forel has developed over the last months, but the most important issue during the internal event was the possibility to understand market needs. As usual listening to customers’ needs is our main commitment.”
