Forglass is known to many glass producers as the designer and builder of glass furnaces and batch plants. What is less known is that Forglass is a multi-faceted engineering enterprise with experts in many areas of glass production, including the design, construction and delivery of much of the auxiliary equipment for glassworks, such as conveyors, crushers and gas combustion systems.
Recently, Forglass celebrated the delivery and commissioning of its 100th gas station. The company combines over 30 years of experience and expertise of its Master Engineers with the newest design and manufacturing tools, consistently delivering combustion systems that exceed the newest, most rigorous safety standards.
An excellent example of the company’s commitment to safety is the Forglass Melting End Main Gas Skid, whose design answers all the requirements of the European Standard EN 746-2 for industrial thermo-processing equipment and all safety requirements for combustion and fuel handling systems. Equipped with control devices independent of the furnace control system, it is also designed with several redundancies in the areas of gas pressure reduction and stabilisation, gas flow measurement and regulation, and cutting off the gas flow in case of an emergency.
In addition to safety, Forglass combustion systems offer many benefits to glass producers, not the least of which is their future-proof design, that is the ability to expand or adapt to new requirements of a new/modernised furnace in the future. Forglass designs gas skids to be compact, saving factory floor space and making them easy to transport and install. High quality of welding and assembly by master technicians ensures safety and problem-free formal commissioning of the system. Forglass design engineers work closely with experienced production technicians to ensure that the equipment is also designed with easy access to all components for operation and maintenance.
Congratulations to Forglass on achieving this milestone with a perfect safety record.
