Friends of Glass wins International & European Association Award

FEVE, the European Container Glass Federation, and Weber Shandwick Brussels won the 2016 International & European Association Award for the Best Social Media Campaign – for the pan-European Friends of Glass Taste campaign in 2015.

Commenting on the award win, Michael Delle Selve, Senior Communications Manager at FEVE said “This award win is due recognition for the hard work that our dedicated national and central teams have put forward in an effort to engage European consumers on the benefits of glass packaging. Our campaign message was simple:  health and taste is not just a matter of ingredients, the packaging really matters! This is a very important driver for consumer choice.”
Annick Boyen, CEO, Weber Shandwick Benelux said “We wholly appreciate our continued partnership with FEVE and involvement with the Friends of Glass campaign. To be awarded ‘Best Social Media Campaign 2015’ is such a great honour, one that marks real success for the campaign but one that also truly acknowledges the collaborative efforts between Weber Shandwick, FEVE and its national associations.”
The Association Awards were established to recognise excellence in leadership, development and service in membership organisations. A prestigious judging panel consists of influential association leaders, all focused on the continuous improvement of associations internationally and European-wide. The awards are organised by the Associations Network, which has been recognising and promoting excellence in associations since 2006, to over 15,000 members. The Associations Network is the largest community of associations in Europe.
The third year of the Friends of Glass campaign entitled the Endless Lives of Glass is now underway. This year’s efforts concentrate on the positive environmental and sustainable benefits of glass packaging.
