On 1 May 2010, Jens Kuerten (41) took over the function of director of Corporate Communication & Marketing. His predecessor, Burkhard Lingenberg (64), is retiring after 36 years with the company. Kuerten reports to the Gerresheimer CEO Dr. Axel Herberg. Jens Kuerten has acted as deputy head of Corporate Communication & Marketing with Gerresheimer since 1 September 2009. The economics graduate previously occupied leading communication positions with Vodafone Germany, Ericsson Germany and the German Federation of Employer Associations (BDA). He is also the regional spokesman for the Federal Association of German Press Spokespersons in the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. Gerresheimer is an internationally leading manufacturer of high-quality speciality products made of glass and plastic for the global pharma & healthcare industry. Group companies achieve sales of about EUR 1 billion and employs around 9,400 people in Europe, North and South America and Asia.
