For the Agora cancer research centre in Lausanne, Behnisch Architekten developed a sculptural building with a unique façade structure.

It allows daylight to enter as far as possible into the depths of the building. Part of it is Glas Trösch’s triple insulating glass SILVERSTAR SELEKT 74/42 behind the customized solar control façade with diamond-shaped openings.

At the same time, a high light transmission factor ensures excellent interior illumination, and a low heat transfer coefficient guarantees maximum thermal insulation. Optimized solar shading also reduces the consumption of cooling energy.
