On a hillside site in Zermatt, the four-storey apartment building “B-Five” was built in chalet style according to the plans of the local architectural office mls. The glass used for both the façade and the railing systems comes from Glas Trösch.
The architects therefore chose SILVERSTAR EN2Plus triple insulating glass for the floor-to-ceiling panes. On the 300 or so days of sunshine a year, the highly effective thermal insulation coating SILVERSTAR SUNSTOP Silver 20T prevents unwanted heating of the room while at the same time ensuring high light transmission. In addition, it accentuates the building envelope with colour reflections and confidently conveys its own identity.
The unique view can also be enjoyed unhindered from the large terraces on the first and first floors. Here, the fall-proof all-glass railing system SWISSRAILING LIGHT with its free glass edge ensures complete transparency. The SWISSRAILING TWO SIDED on the first floor, specially developed for French balconies, is just as transparent and light.
