On March 27 and 28, Glass for Europe was in the US for the Glass & Glazing Advocacy Days organised by the National Glass Association (NGA). During the Advocacy Days, representatives from the American glass industry meet with members of Congress and agency officials to discuss top policy priorities and to showcase how the industry contributes to the economy, the workforce and human health.
“It’s been an exciting and fruitful two days taking part to National Glass Association (NGA) advocacy days in Washington DC,” posted Bertrand Cazes, Secretary General of Glass for Europe.
The European and American flat glass industries share many priorities such as ensuring the sustainability of the sector and supporting the uptake of high-performance glazing which have a major role to play in the decarbonisation of buildings. “It was very enriching to exchange on our common challenges to promote the benefits of glazing and the glass industry,” Cazes concluded.
