SEFPRO has completed the acquisition of GLASS SERVICE a.s., including F.I.C. UK and FlammaTec, on April 2, 2024.
To facilitate integration and leverage the combined strengths, Marc Russo has been appointed General Manager of GLASS SERVICE a.s. entities. Marc Russo brings 20 years of experience with SEFPRO, as Global Supply Chain Director and as Plant Director. He also has prior experience as General Director of a company comparable in size to the Glass Service group.
Marc will be supported by the former GLASS SERVICE management team in their new roles: Josef Chmelar as Technical and Innovation Director, Petr Chmelar as General Secretary, Erik Muijsenberg as Commercial Director, and Glenn Neff as Sales Director of GS USA.
This acquisition creates a truly unique value proposition in the market by offering comprehensive solutions throughout the life-cycle of a glass furnace. It will enable customers to better manage their energy consumption and refractory performance, supported by advanced supervisory smart model-based software with AI, thus helping to control and reduce emissions.
Together, SEFPRO and GLASS SERVICE can better assist their clients in improving performance and productivity, and in progressing towards the decarbonization of the glassmaking process. Both companies have made significant efforts in this direction and have developed innovative solutions, particularly in predicting the impacts of design and process on furnace lifetime and energy consumption.
