The Glass Service’s 15th international seminar on furnace design – Operation and Process Simulation will be held on 22-23 May 2019 at the at the beautiful and relaxing Hotel Horal mountain resort in Velke Karlovice, Czech Republic.
On 21 May, in conjunction with the seminar, the ICG Technical Committee 15 & 21 Meeting and the GS Glass Furnace Model (GFM) User Meeting will be held.
It is open to all wanting to learn more about Industry 4.0 and the optimization of their glass melting furnaces with CFD simulation. The 2019 Seminar will focus on presentations that provide solutions to reduce the CO2 emissions by 40% or more by the year 2030, following the Paris Climate agreement.
The event takes place every two years and brings together over 150 glass experts from around the world to discuss the use of simulation and control tools, with the goal of optimizing the glass melting and forming process. Participants who are willing to submit an abstract can do so until February 28.
