Glass Technology Services created the Glass appreciation course to help people gain confidence and improve their understanding of glass as a material.
This course is perfect for people who are new to the industry, whether they design, make, source, sell or reuse glass.
Delegates will learn about the manufacturing process, properties of the material and its environmental impact. Product defects and failure are also covered in an accessible format – making this an ideal introduction for anyone dealing with glass products or issues.
Glass appreciation combines both theory and practical sessions and participants even get the opportunity to form their own glass product using molten glass.

Glass failure analysis (intermediate)​
2-day course from April 22 to 23 (also running October 10 to 11) in Sheffield, UK.
For people in a technical role and looking to improve your knowledge of why products break and the common causes, to learn about glass strength, damage and an analytical approach to failure investigation with experts in glass.
This two-day technical course is aimed at glass technologists, quality assurance and product complaints professionals and features a combination of technical presentations, practical exercises, case studies and breakage investigations to help delegates understand glass strength, weaknesses, failure and interpretation of evidence to determine causation.
