Martin Gregor Gutmann, Guild Master of the Federal Association of Glazier Trades, has been appointed president of glasstec 2010. He was officially introduced to the Advisory Board of glasstec 2010 on the occasion of its latest meeting, and succeeds Paul Neeteson, who held this office for glasstec 2008. Presidency alternates between the Federal Association of Glazier Trades (BIV) and representation from the Federal Association of the Glass Industry, Bundesverband Glas (BV Glas) at the end of each glasstec. Both Associations are supporting organizations of the event. The Federal Guild Master has traditionally acted a president for glasstec during the respective presidency. Gutmann manages a family-run crafts-oriented glass and fenestration business in Hanau on Main that is in its third generation now and looks back on over 100 years of tradition. In 2002, he was appointed Guild Master of Glazier Trades in Hessen and finally in 2008 he became the Federal Guild Master. Gutmann is also active in an honorary capacity for the Historic Preservation in Hanau and the town twinning activities with the Chinese city Taizhou.
