Glaston Technologies, part of Kyro Corporation, announced that it closed a total of EUR 27.8 million new machine deals during the glasstec trade fair in Dsseldorf between 24-28 October 2006, the company said in a press release on 2 November 2006. The exhibition sales total, including both pre-processing and safety glass technology, is an all-time high for Glaston. Orders were also received for the latest technology launched by Glaston at the exhibition. “I am delighted to see that the products, strengthening the One-Stop-Partner concept, were so enthusiastically welcomed. This is a sign of successful product development,” said Kyro president and CEO Pentti Yliheljo. Tamglass introduced an automatic process control based flat tempering machine, completely new to the industry while its Glaston Technologies counterpart Bavelloni launched a series of new modular cutting tables, a compact, large capacity CNC centre called NRG(TM) and the high speed Powerseam(TM) seamer. Orders were received from all main market areas and especially from the EMA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) area and North America. Some of the orders will be delivered during 2006 while the majority of the deliveries will be recognized in 2007.
